Q: Why do I need Med-a-Drive®?
A: This device will allow you to maintain your complete medical history in one place. It is user friendly, convenient and easily accessible.

Q: How do I enter my medical information onto the Med-a-Drive® device?
A: First, plug your device into a USB port on any computer or laptop and the
Med-a-Drive® program will automatically open. You can select any screen and type in your information.

Q: Who do I contact for technical support?

Q: How many days does it take to ship the Med-a-Drive® device?
A: Orders may take up to 3 business days for processing and between 4-6 weeks for delivery.

Q: My computer asks to reboot after I insert the USB device. Do I need to reboot every time I insert it?
A: It is not necessary to reboot your computer. Click cancel when the question box comes up and the program should run properly.

Q: What operating systems is Med-a-Drive® compatible with?
A: Med-a-Drive® is compatible with Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista.

Q: Can I add or edit my medical information?
A:
Yes. You may add or edit information by opening the program and selecting any screen and make changes or add new information. You can make unlimited changes and additions at no extra cost.

Q: What if the emergency services or my doctor does not have access to a computer?
A: To ensure you always have your medical information available, be sure to print a hard copy of all your medical records and carry them with you for your doctor. You may print individual pages or your entire history from the
Med-a-Drive
® device.

Q: Will the host computer retain my medical information?
A: No,
Med-a-Drive
® will retain all your information and your computer will not retain any once the device is removed from the USB drive.

Q: How do I access my medical information that’s on my Med-a-Drive® device?
A: You or your medical provider can access your medical information by plugging your device into the USB port of any computer or laptop.

Q: Do I have to complete all the information on Med-a-Drive®?
A: No… The amount of information you enter on your device is entirely at your discretion.

Q: How much memory is on Med-a-Drive®?
A: There is 128MB of flash memory on the
Med-a-Drive® device.

Q: How do I insert additional documents, photo, birth certificate, Health Care Directive?
A: There is approximately 64Mb of free space on your Med-a-Drive®. All graphic material has to be scanned into a file on your computer. If you have a digital camera, you can download photos to your computer. Once the file is in the computer, it can be uploaded on your Med-a-Drive®. If you do not have access to a scanner, you can contact any Office Depot, Office Max or Kinkos and it can be scanned for a nominal fee.
